PRINTS.

I think that I need to emphasize more on this. It is VERY, VERY important.

Ok, so I just made some senior announcements (lots and lots of them). Sometimes I do a test print through walmart to see how it will look, before ordering hundreds through my pro printing company.

Well, that taught me one thing: WAL-MART SUCKS!

I then ordered from my pro printing company (White house custom color), and the difference between the two surprised me tons! Wal-mart prints flat, dull & dark. And this was even through one hour photo- which I have found to be better than send out. send out is shiny & horrible. it's just flat out cheap looking.

Guys, please please please please DO NOT order from these places. If you are gonna PAY for these photos, have me spend lots of time editing them to look perfect, wouldn't you want your prints to LOOK GOOD? Not only does it make my hard work look bad and cheap, but I feel like you're cheating yourself. You could be getting something much much better looking. well, how its SUPPOSED TO look!

I don't know what scares everyone away from ordering through me. Because it most certainly should not be the price.

Here's a little comparison with pricing:

8X10
through me: $8
through wal-mart: $5
mine = way, way better.
3 bucks?!? c'mon!

I am going to do printing differently now though. If you want to print through me, you send me the numbers of which photos you want (they'll be numbered on your CD or in your gallery), tell me what sizes you want, I'll give you a total, you'll send me a check, I'll order them & send them to you.
It'll be way way way way way worth it!

NO MORE WAL-MART! NO MORE WALGREENS! NO MORE COSTCO!

It's SOO totally frustrating to walk into a wedding, and see MY PHOTOS printed through one of these companies. I can totally tell & to me they look like poop! Sorry, but true!

If you reeeeally don't care, then disregard this. But I'm guessing most of you care what your photos look like. You're paying a good price for them.

The company I print through is amazing. AMAZING. they are so dang professional & I'm always so happy with my prints. They are easy to order with, and shipping is free (so I won't give you any shipping fees , unless I have to ship them to your house from mine & even then it's not much), AND they are FAST! I get my photos in a few days! It's wonderful and SO worth it.

When I give out CDs, I just hope hope hope that all your doing with them is blogging them. and if you do choose to print somewhere else, I hope that you are choosing somewhere great that can do a good job. (I know there is a place on main st. by 25main in St. George that does pro printing.)

See--I really just wanna help you! Not cheat you!

PLEASE contact me for more info about GOOD, QUALITY prints.

love you guys!

I apologize

I apologize for the many changes I make ALL THE TIME. Please forgive. The business-y aspect of this all has been a challenge for me. I mostly like taking pictures. Not dealing with the ever so complicated business part of it all. BUT I have to. SOOOO...
Here's the new deal that I feel most comfortable with:
1 hour- $45
2 hours- $75
Family & Friends get 25% off.
I do a senior package for $90. It includes:
2 hours session time, 8 4x5 pictures, & a senior folio (to put your 4x5s in)
I DO offer printing. I have a seperate website for that. Read my "Viewing & Printing" link on my sidebar to get all the dirty details.
I DO make CD's still. Only upon request. They are $20. If you choose to own the images & print elsewhere, this is the way you'd wanna do it. But, I recommend printing through me. I have sweeeet deals. And excellent quality.
If you have any questions, of course I'll be happy to answer them. A big thanks to all the awesome & cute people I've been working with lately! Smiles.
Have a great holiday!

Printing

Alright, I've been working out a lot of kinks with this, and now I have finally made my decision:
Your session fee includes me of course taking your pictures, editing your pictures AND uploading your pictures onto my printing site. That is how you will view your whole session. AND that is how you will order prints.
I will send you an e-mail with the link & password. You'll click on that, and go straight to the site. It'll be easy. My goal is to make this easy for you!! My Printing prices are pretty low, almost as low as Wal-mart but definitely better quality!
If you need help using my printing site, I will be happy to help. OR if you want me to order it all for you, I can do that too. We can work it out to fit your needs!
NOW if you do wish to print on your own, I will sell you a CD & my copyright for $20. From there you can print wherever you want.
Ok, so that's it!! Any questions? Please e-mail me: aleciasphotography@hotmail.com
Thanks!!

Printing!

Ok, so here's the dealio...

I have had some people ask about printing. If I print the pictures for them. The answer was no. I made CDs, and from there you found your own printing. Which some people like, and some people dislike. Lots of people print through wal-mart, and that is ok, except I HATE WALMART. Bad quality. So, if you can help it, don't print through Wal-mart. But this was the dilemma I was getting myself into: Say you take your photo CD into Wal-mart and they tell you that you can't print because of copy-right. Well, if I could be there with you, I would just tell them that I am the photographer and it's totally fine and dandy with me that you print there. Well, it's not that easy.

SO

Here's what I'm going to do about this.

After your session, I am gonna go home and edit like a mad woman.

I will then quickly post some sneak peek pics on my blog to hold you over and get you super excited!

Then, I will set up an on-line gallery with all your edited pictures on it. I will send you an e-mail with a link telling you exactly how to get to your pictures (I want to make this is easy as possible for you!)

You can view all your pictures there, and you can PRINT from there too! Yes! Just click on the photo(s) you want, choose a size (5x7, 8x10, etc.), type in your address & order info, and SHABAM! You've got your pictures ordered! Now, it will charge you shipping and handling which is around $3.50 for 5-10 days. Not bad, really.

I am using Mpix Labs to do this, and it is a PROFESSIONAL PHOTOGRAPHY PRINTING service. Prices are low and quality is awesome. I will post the prices on my side-bar.

So, there! From now on, this is how I want to do it.

I will still give you a CD for personal use.

Hopefully, it should make things more simple for y'all!
